The Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has relieved Abdul Oroh of his appointment as the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in the southern Nigerian state.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Peter Okhiria, on Monday stated that Oroh’s removal was in the public’s interest and with immediate effect.
The Governor consequently approved the appointment of Mr Kerry Emokpare as the Commissioner-designate for Commerce and Industry in Edo State.
The statement said that Governor Oshiomhole thanked the former Commissioner for his invaluable services to the state and wished him well in his future endeavours.
Mr Oroh had been serving as a commissioner since Governor Oshiomhole’s first tenure in the ministries of agriculture, information, culture and tourism, as well as commerce and industry.
