Army Extends Charity To Orphanage In Cross River

The Nigerian Army has donated food items and toiletries to the Uwanse Motherless Babies’ Home in Cross River State, southern Nigeria.

The 13 Brigade Command of the Nigerian Army presented the items to the children at the orphanage in commemoration of the Children’s Day celebration.

Addressing reporters shortly after the presentation and inspection of the children round the wards, the Coordinator, Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NOWA), Mrs Fatima Muhammed, said that there was no better time to show love to the children other than the festive periods when other children were being celebrated.

She enjoined the coordinator of the home to make good use of the items brought for the children while asking the youngsters to be respectable children as they grow.
