Lagos Commences Registration Of Tutorial Centres

The Lagos State government has commenced the registration of all continuing education and tutorial centres in the state, as well as the enforcement of compliance to set standards.

In a press release, issued by the Special Adviser to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Education, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh, the government said the move is in line with the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education Law, which mandates the agency to control activities of all continuing education and tutorial centres in the state.

Mr. Bank-Olemoh advised those affected to register with the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education, to avoid sanctions, including the closure of unregistered centres.

The enforcement followed series of meetings held between officials of the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education and relevant bodies including the Association of Tutorial School Operators.
