The Nigerian Army Troops say they have cleared a notorious kidnappers’ camp near Obite in Ogba/Ndoni/Egbema Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Troops of 2 Brigade who were conducting an anti-cultism operation as part of the Exercise Crocodile Smile on Saturday engaged at Obiozumini and rescued one kidnap victim from the camp.

Details of the operation were released in a statement from the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman.

According to Col. Usman, the troops also discovered and destroyed 52 illegal refineries and refinery cooking pots in Krakrama, Bille and Better land Community General Area.

They also discovered two high powered engine boats, 10 empty drums and one pumping machine.
