Two Die As Suicide Bomber Detonates Device In Dalori, Maiduguri

A suicide bomber has detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the Dalori quarters in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the incident.

According to the Media Relations Officer of the Agency, Sani Datti, “Our search and rescue officers are at the scene of the incident and have evacuated the bodies to the Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri “.

Similarly, the Civilian Joint Task Force reported that the explosion occurred after a suicide bomber stormed the Dalori quarters mosque in the early hours of Tuesday, during the morning prayers, killing one of their members and a male suicide bomber.

Meanwhile, Few meters from Dalori quarters is the Internally Displaced Persons camp, home to 23,000 people.
