
The Edo State government is seeking a closer working relationship with the Danish government to curb illegal migration.
Governor Godwin Obaseki made the commitment when he received a Danish delegation at the government house in Benin City, the state capital.
He outlined some of the state government’s plans on dealing with the menace of illegal migration to include strengthening the educational institutions, empowering young men and women through skills acquisition among others.
In her repsonse, the Danish Minister for Immigration, Inger Stojberg pledged support through funding and advocacy programmes.
