Many Nigeria’s popular Instagram comedians including Slk Comedy (AKA Omore Bi Custard), Mc Prince and Damola comedian, were co-headliners at the funny flight show, hosted by Xtreme in Lagos.
Speaking with Entertainment News on Channels Television, Comedian Xtreme explained that he created the Xtreme flight comedy show because there was a need to have a different kind of comedy show because other comedy shows where all the same.
“Most comedy shows in Nigeria is just a straight way jacket like everybody does the same thing, this show was birth out of the need and out of the belief that I need to and I can do something entirely different.”
Frank Donga who was also present at the event stated that social media comic acts are expanding their horizons, as they have started conducting real-life events.
He said “It is nice when people see the comic act that they enjoy on social media at shows and events. I think a lot of online comic act is also trying to broaden their horizons and explore other opportunities and other talents by crossing over to real life events and not be restricted to the comfort of their phones.
“It gives them opportunities to perfect their skills,”
Also at the event, Comedian Damola stated that comedy is revolving and content is what keeps it going.
“Comedy is revolving, we use to have the likes of Baba Sala in the past, then it upgraded to comedy movies, we started having standup comedy and now we have Instagram comedy. The truth is that content is what keeps the whole job going.”
