A new faction of the PDP was unveiled on Wednesday at a new secretariat in Abuja. Some of the leaders of the faction are Chief Olusola Akindele, Chief Godwin Duru, Franklyne Edede, Prince Obi Nwosu and Alhaji Hassan Adamu.

Dickson said the concerns of the members were legitimate on how the party conducted the last National Convention in Abuja.

“The duty of resolving conflicts is the responsibility of every party leader. You don’t have to be in reconciliation committee. You don’t have to be a party leader to promote understanding and that’s what we need to do, moving forward.

“If there is anytime when the party needs to do this more in all constituencies. If there is anytime when the party needs to solve all problems and exercise right judgement, that time is now,” he said.

The Bayelsa State governor also appealed to all aggrieved members of the party to be patient with the party as the reconciliatory committee has put all machinery in place to resolve all issues that arose from the conduct of the national convention.

He further assured all aspirants and aggrieved members that by the second week of January 2018, the National Working Committee and the leadership of the party would meet for a peaceful resolution.
