Bukar died at the age of 63 at a private hospital in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

His body was however flown from the Abuja hospital to his hometown, Daura, where he was buried in line with Islamic rights.

Before his death, Bukar was President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senator as he represented the president’s senatorial district.

Dignitaries at the burial, on Wednesday, in Katsina include Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Manir Yakubu; Speaker of the House of Assembly, Abubakar Kusada, among others.
