12 Villagers Feared Killed In Adamawa Ambush

 

No fewer than five persons have been killed in a fresh attack on Mararaban Kola community in Guyuk Local Government area of Adamawa State.

The Police Public Relations Officer Adamawa State Command, SP Othman Abubakar, confirmed the incident on Thursday saying four men and a woman were killed in the attack while seven houses were razed by the attackers.

Abubakar further noted that a man and his wife sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Specialist hospital in Yola for medical attention.

 

Eyewitnesses said the suspected armed herdsmen invaded Mararaba Kola village in kola District at midnight (Wednesday) on motorbikes shooting sporadically and setting some house ablaze.

Meanwhile, the Sole Administrator of Kola State Development Area, Hon Sam Kasiwa, told Channels Television via telephone that soldiers have been deployed to the area resulting in the arrest of two of the attackers.

The military is, however, yet to confirm the arrest.
