The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the Ekiti Governorship election, Mr Kolapo Olusola, has finally voted after a card reader malfunction prevented him from doing so earlier.

The card reader had failed to recognize his PVC as he tried to vote at Polling Unit 007, Ofomofuru Hall, Ward 2, Okokuru in Ikere-Ekiti on Saturday.

However, with the intervention of the National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Anthonia Simbini, Eleka, was accredited and eventually able to vote.

He said INEC identified the need for his PVC to be withdrawn and replaced later, an option which he said he was satisfied with.
