A fallen truck on Wednesday morning caused a gridlock along the Kara end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, disrupting the flow of movement in and out of the country’s commercial city.
The articulated truck laden with a container veered off the highway after its driver lost control, making the container fall off, and crossing over the entire stretch of the highway.
Emergency and road officials immediately cordoned off the area as driving out of Lagos was difficult.
Efforts to pull off the container did not come so easy, commuters had to spend long hours on the road while commercial motorcycle operators made a brisk business out of the situation.
Eyewitnesses say truck accidents are becoming more rampant on that axis of the highway.
