A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has declared that the candidature of Dumo Lulu Briggs as the governorship flag bearer of the Accord Party for the elections on March 9 is null, void and unconstitutional.
According to the presiding judge, Justice Emmanuel Obile, Lulu Briggs did not participate in the primaries conducted on October 4, 2018.

Also according to him, at the time of conducting the primary, Briggs was a governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The court, thereafter, ordered INEC to replace his name with the plaintiff, Precious Baridoo as the candidate of the party.
