INEC Issues Certificates Of Return To Zamfara State Lawmakers

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has issued certificates of return to 24 Zamfara State House of Assembly members-elect.

The lawmakers made up of 23 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and one member of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), were candidates in the state elections and declared winners by INEC after a judgment of the Supreme Court, which nullified all APC votes at the 2019 General Elections in Zamfara state and ruled that the party had no candidates.

The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner Dr. Asma’u Maikudi presented the certificates to the lawmakers.
