A shopping complex, known as Super Plaza, located in the Surulere area of Lagos has been gutted by fire.
The fire which is believed to have been triggered by a power surge, is said to have consumed a part of the building containing goods worth millions of naira.
Emergency workers from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, as well as federal and Lagos Fire services, later arrived at the scene and put out the fire.

The police are also said to be on the ground to prevent possible looting of goods from the plaza.
