The body of a 13-year-old boy, Gambo Yusuf who was earlier declared missing last Saturday in Danzomo Village, Suletankarkar Local Government Area of Jigawa State, has been found.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Lawan Shiisu, disclosed this via a statement issued on Tuesday, noting that Yusuf’s body was recovered in an open well at about 12.30 pm.
“On August 29, at about 07: 40 am, a man, Yusuf Makeri of Danzomo village Suletankarkar LGA, reported at the Danzomo police outstation that his 13-year-old son, who was mentally challenged was missing and all efforts made to trace his whereabouts failed,” the statement partly read.

“However, on Sunday, his corpse was discovered in an open well in the area,” Shiisu said.
While noting that the corpse has been evacuated and handed over to his relatives for burial, the police spokesman said no foul play was suspected in connection with the incident.
