President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with founding fathers of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the state house.
While details of the meeting are yet to be clear, it is speculated to be part of deliberations ahead of the party’s national convention on Saturday.
Those at the meeting included Presidential aspirant, Ahmed Tinubu, Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari; Kaduna Governor, Nasir el-Rufai; Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni among others.
Earlier in the day, the President had urged the APC leaders to channel their energies into improving the fortunes of the party.

Senate President Ahmed Lawan had also announced that the APC has agreed to produce consensus candidates and the party is expected to put out a ‘Unity List’ by Friday ahead of the national convention.
Meanwhile, the APC has announced the schedule for the convention.
