The Supreme Court has upheld the Court of Appeal judgement which awarded the All Progressives Congress Abia Central Senatorial District ticket to Sam Onuigbo.
The Supreme Court delivered two Appeal judgements against Emeka Atuma in Favour of Onuigbo on Friday.
Affirming the judgement of the Court of Appeal Owerri Division, Justice Coram Agim said that Onuigbo is the Legal and Rightful Candidate of the APC for Abia Central Senatorial District.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, Imo State capital, had sacked Atuma as the candidate of the APC for Abia Central Senatorial race.
According to the Court of Appeal, Onuigbo was the elected candidate of the APC having participated in the party’s primaries and also purchased the party’s nomination and expression of interest forms.
In its judgement, the court set aside the judgment of the Federal High Court Umuahia, presided over by Justice Evelyn Anyadike, which declared Atuma winner of the primary election.
