The Edo State Police Command has vowed to declare persons it invited over the killing of a police officer in Benin City last week wanted if they do not show up.

A police inspector attached to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Edo Monday Okpebholo was killed in the state capital on Thursday.

While the Commissioner of Police in Edo Funsho Adegboye said invitations had been sent to the persons wanted for questioning, they are yet to show up.

The police commissioner also affirmed the command’s respect for Okpebholo.

He apologised for the inappropriate manner the APC governorship candidate was addressed in the press briefing given following the shooting incident.
