Nokia Reports Lower Profit Despite Rising Sales

The Finnish telecom maker reported Thursday a 435-million-euro ($505-million) operating profit in its third quarter.

Finnish telecom maker Nokia reported Thursday a 435-million-euro ($505-million) operating profit in its third quarter, down 10 percent from a year earlier, despite a nine percent increase in sales.

“Looking forward, we are on track to achieve our full-year outlook,” chief executive Justin Hotard said in a statement.
