Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has most warmly congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday and extolled him for what he described as his bold leadership, political sagacity, and uncompromising commitment to the unity, peace, development, and progress of Nigeria.

The governor noted that history will remember Tinubu as a leader who dared to make the tough, yet necessary, decisions required to reposition the nation’s economy for long-term stability.

While acknowledging the administration’s bold economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of exchange rates, Soludo noted that the courageous steps have laid the essential foundation for a more resilient, transparent, and prosperous Nigeria of the future.

Governor Soludo said that President Tinubu has demonstrated true leadership that is not about seeking temporary popularity, but about making the hard choices that will secure the future generations to come.

According to him, the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ is steadily steering the nation away from the precipice of fiscal recklessness towards a path of sustainable growth, and Anambra State stands in solidarity with him as he navigates these challenging times.

The governor called for the support of all Nigerians for the President as he continues to tackle the nation’s multifaceted challenges, including security. He expresses confidence that under President Tinubu’s stewardship, Nigeria will emerge stronger, more united, and economically vibrant.

Tinubu Donates Salaries

Meanwhile, Tinubu has donated all his salaries since assuming office in May 2023 to a newly established welfare fund aimed at supporting members of the Nigerian Armed Forces and their families.

He said this in a statement he personally issued on Sunday to mark his 74th birthday.

“As a personal commitment, all my salaries since assuming office will be paid into this account as seed funding, irrespective of existing insurance and welfare schemes for members of our armed forces,” he said.
