Police Parade Man Accused Of Impregnating 10-Year-Old In Benue

A 17-year-old man, Terna Taga has been paraded by the Police Command in Benue State for impregnating a 10-year-old girl simply identified as Miss Masenegen.

Tega during the parade on Wednesday told journalists that the incident happened in December 2018 when the girl came to her house.

He said he slept with the girl two different occasions. He however claimed that it was consensual.

“She used her legs and came to my house. I asked her what happened and she said her parents locked everywhere to the house and that she has nowhere to sleep. That was the day I slept with her

“I did not rape her, if you ask the girl too she will tell you that I did not rape her,” he said.

The victim was however delivered of a baby girl last week Sunday in Makurdi, Benue State capital.

The Benue State Police Command paraded 15 other suspected criminals arrested for various crimes in the state.

Benue Police Launch Manhunt For Cop Killers

Benue Police, Cop Killers, Police Commissioner, domestic staffThe Benue State Police Command has launched the manhunt for the arrest of the unknown gunmen involved in the killing of two policemen in Ado Local Government Area on Sunday morning.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Bashir Makama, disclosed this to Channels Television in Makurdi, shortly after returning from a fact finding visit to Ado where some persons were arrested for interrogation.

The Police have vowed to recover the three rifles stolen by the attackers, who also left two officers in critical conditions.

Channels Television also visited the Federal Medical Centre in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, where the two survivors with multiple bullet wounds were operated upon.

The consultant, Ocheifa Matthew, said that the officers were in stable condition after extensive surgeries but they remained under close observation.
