The Governor-elect of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has expressed readiness to accept the mantle of leadership from the former governor of the state, Governor Idris Wada.

He made this known via telephone on Channels Television’s breakfast show, Sunrise Daily.

On the issue, if the deputy governor candidate to late Prince Audu, Mr James Faleke will step in as the deputy governor or not, Mr Bello noted that if he (Faleke) doesn’t present himself, deputising him is not compulsory and will resort to other options.

“It’s not compulsory and I cannot force anyone to deputise me, if he doesn’t deputise me, there are options”. He said
