Family and friends of the late music legend Rogers Nelson popularly known as Prince have poured heart warming messages to the late icon.
Expressions of grief and tributes have flooded social media to express their shock over the death of the musician.
Some described him as the world’s biggest guitarist, others as a musical juggernaut.
Other musical icons like Aretha Franklin, Steven Wonder, Latoya Jackson,
popular model Naomi Campbell and President of the United States of America, Barack Obama have expressed shock over the death of Prince.
Barack Obama has said that he and the First Lady ‘join millions of fans from around the world in mourning the sudden death of Prince.’
The President commended the late singer for leaving his landmark in the music industry, he took to his Facebook page to pay his tribute.
“Today, the world lost a creative icon, ‘Few artists have influenced the sound and trajectory of popular music more distinctly, or touched quite so many people with their talent. As one of the most gifted and prolific musicians of our time, Prince did it all. Funk. R&B. Rock and roll. He was a virtuoso instrumentalist, a brilliant bandleader, and an electrifying performer.’
Prince died on Thursday morning after battling with severe flu at the age of 57.
