The traditional ruler of Elaite Community in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State, Mr Aminu Akuh, has been kidnapped.
Mr Akuh’s abduction is coming barely 24 hours after the kidnap of two judges in the state.
The traditional ruler of Elaite was said to have been abducted by some gunmen on Friday night at about 8:00pm local time while returning from Ajaokuta to his community.
10 million Naira Ransom
The abductors are said to have established contact with the family members, demanding for the sum of 10 million Naira as ransom.
In another development, an unidentified naval officer, who was passing through the state from the eastern part of Nigeria to Abuja, was abducted also on Friday at about 5:00pm local time.
A source from the police told Channels Television that his vehicle and other particles were found on Saturday by security operatives who ransacked the bushes within the state.
The search was led by the State Commissioner of Police.
