The Police in Niger State have arrested three persons for allegedly Kidnapping a 3-year old boy, Goodluck Godwin, in Sabondaga area of the state capital, Minna.

The suspects, Abubakar Usman (26) Musa Ibrahim (30) and Suleiman Abubakar (28) all from Niger Republic picked the boy while he was playing in the compound and dashed away in a Toyota Corolla car.

However, neighbours who saw them picking the boy quickly alerted his mother, Mrs Ruth Francis, who immediately informed men of the Kpankungu Divisional Police Station and the vigilante group patrolling the area.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Richard Ogunche, said the fleeing suspects were arrested at the Bida-Minna road and the child rescued by the combined team of the police and the state vigilante group.

He further stated that the suspects now in police custody had been charged to court
