Nigerians have been urged to be more security conscious in view of the current spate of explosions across the country by not allowing strangers drop or leave a bag, polythene bag or any sealed object in any public place or gathering.

“Don’t be afraid to ask your customers or people pretending to be customers to show you the content of their bags and other containers, if they intend to leave it in your premises, it is better to be regarded as strict than for you and your customers to be blown up by IEDs planted in your premises by evil people”.

The Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petirin while inspecting the scenes where explosions occurred in Jos for on the spot assessment also warned the perpetrators of the act to desist or face the consequence “The battle line has been drawn and we wait expectantly for those who would dare cross it.”

Air Chief Marshal Petirin also took time to visit the family of the victim that died in the explosions as well as paying a visit to the headquarters of Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven where he charged members of the task force no to relent in their efforts of restoring peace and order to Plateau state.

He recalled that: “Three days ago, these evil people planted Improvise Explosive Devices (IEDs), where innocent and law abiding people were watching a football match, they murdered a man in cold blood simply to further their evil agenda, what this godless people want is for the people on the Plateau to start pointing accusing fingers at one another and start fighting and killing one another.”

Residents of Jos and environs were thrown into pandemonium as news of explosions filtered into various homes on Saturday December9.
