The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, (UNIDO) has warned Africa to wean itself off dependence on trade, commodities and raw materials if the continent does not want to create a crisis for itself.
At the commemorative lecture to mark Bank of Industry’s 10th Anniversary, the Director General of the U.N. Agency, Dr. Kandeh Yumkella advised Nigeria to emulate the political will of the Asian tigers and more successful emerging economies by resolving the energy crisis that’s crippling the country’s manufacturing sector.
