Belgian Tom Saintfiet has officially been named as the Technical Director of Nigeria by the nation’s football federation.

The 39-year-old Belgian has been offered a four-year deal and is expected to earn $20,000 monthly (about N3 million).

He is also entitled to an official car and accommodation in the Nigerian capital.

The new football director of the West African nation is expected to resume work in April, SuperSport.com has been informed.

The decision to appoint Saintfiet was ratified by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee in Abuja on Wednesday evening.

Saintfiet’s duty is to draw up policies to help develop football in Nigeria and he is expected to work with the various national team coaches on their plans.

The NFF also appointed Kadiri Ikhana as Super Falcons’ head coach with Rita Nwadike as one of his assistants while John Obuh retained his place as Under20 men’s coach.
