The Kaduna state government has relaxed the 24 hour curfew imposed on the state to 20 hours in some parts of the state, while others have varying times.

A statement signed by the senior special assistant on media to the state governor on Monday, said residents in the state are to move around from 12 noon to 4PM on Monday, allowing residents to move around from 12 noon to 4PM on Monday.

According to the statement, residents of Kaduna Metropolis made up of Kaduna South, Kaduna North, Igabi and Chikum local government areas are free to move around from 7AM to 4PM as from Tuesday the 26th of June, while the residents in the remaining 19 local governments are free to move around from 6AM to 6PM.

The ancient commercial city had a 24 hour curfew imposed on it following the June 17th bomb blasts at churches and reprisal attacks that has claimed a number of  lives.

The Kaduna state government re-imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on the state as renewed violence erupted the following day.
