The federal government has dissolved the board of National Commission for Refugees, chaired by prof. Francis Durosinmi-Etti and suspended the commissioner and chief executive officer Hajiya Hadiza Kangiwa.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the secretary to the government of the federation, Senator Pius Anyim.

Senator Anyim explained that this is coming on the heels of recent developments that have hampered smooth operations of the commission.

The most senior director in the commission is has been directed to take over.
