The US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is in the Presidential Villa for a meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria in continuation of her eleven nation Africa tour.

Though details of the meeting has not been disclosed to journalists, officials said the US Secretary of State is expected to hold discussions with the president on how to strengthen ties between Nigeria and the US.
After meeting with the President, she is also expected to hold a meeting with the nation’s Security Chiefs, who are already seated.
The visit is coming at a time when Nigeria is facing increasing insurgency by the fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram in the northern part of the country.
Clinton’s visit is expected to elicit a broad-based direction of her home government on the issue.
