Three persons have been killed, two missing and six injured in a clash between factions allegedly struggling for the leadership of the Ogborodo Trust Fund, Ogborodo Community in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.

Spokesman of the Ugborodo Community told journalists  in Warri that leaders of the community had sent a delegation on a fact finding mission to a land in dispute in Otumara Community where they were shot by some youth allegedly loyal to one David Tonwe.

Ugborodo Community National Youth Chairman, Julius Atete said they had gone to the community offer job opportunities from one of their companies in their village when they observed that a structure being erected.

Roland Atete, who survived the attack, with gunshot wounds on both legs said the attack was unprovoked as they were not armed and had no cause to.

Chairman of the Ugborodo Trust Fund, Thomas Abitobi said while they do not intend to take the laws into their hands they want the police fish to out and bring to book the perpetrators of the crime.

The Area Commander, Nigeria Police Force, Warri Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hussein Rabiu, who spoke to Channels Television off camera said the police is aware of the case and have commenced investigation into the matter.

All efforts to reach David Tonwe for his response proved abortive but close associates said he will respond at the appropriate time.
