It is well-known that twins are used to sharing things, but a pair of lookalike siblings from Connecticut took the concept a step too far when they attempted to date the same woman, which landed them behind bars this week.

Aric and Sean Hale, both 28 years old were arrested on New Year’s Eve when they came to blows over whose turn it was to have sex with their communal paramour.

The brothers have been in an open relationship with a 27-year-old woman, according to police.

The girlfriend told officials that she has sex with each brother, ‘depending on who she chooses to be with that particular day,’ the Hartford Courant reported.

The oddball trio checked into a hotel in Manchester to ring in the New Year when Sean Hale asked his brother to leave the room so that he and the unnamed 27-year-old woman could enjoy some ‘alone time.’

Aric Hale refused, and the two siblings started swinging punches,  wrecking the room in the process.

The brawling brothers were taken into custody later in their home located in the historic, upper-middle class community of Ellington.

Aric Hale was charged with two counts each of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct and one count of third-degree criminal mischief.

His brother was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of third-degree criminal mischief.

The Hales were released after posting bail of $10,000 each. They are due back in court February 7.
