Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has transferred over 70 cases and millions of Naira in different currencies to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) between 2006 and 2013 for prosecution.
The agency disclosed this during an investigative hearing being conducted by the House of Representatives on the status of assets forfeited to the anti-graft agency since its inception.
The House says a situation where monies, landed properties and business concerns estimated at over N2 trillion are not properly managed and it is unacceptable.
However the EFCC chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde and his two predecessors, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and Farida Waziri were not at the investigative hearing on Monday.
