The All Progressives Congress (APC) says it has received 22 state chairmen of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) into its fold.

The interim national chairman of the APC, Bisi Akande announced the defection of chieftains of APGA across the country at a meeting with governors of the APC in Abuja.

The party also inaugurated the Chris Ngige campaign committee for the November 16th Anambra governorship election.

The newly registered merger party is bringing a new twist to the political scene ahead of the 2015 elections, as the interim national secretary; Lai Mohammed hinted on Thursday that it will also accept with open hands the aggrieved members of the ruling party, PDP, should they decide to join the APC.

The APC however denied the allegation that the party is responsible throwing a spanner in the ruling party’s wheel of progress.
