The Chairman of the Commission, Professor Julius Okogie told journalists in Abuja that there will certainly be a resolution to the ASUU strike which has entered its 85th day.
Professor Okogie however declined to comment on how far the talks has gone, but chose to underscore the need to review the curriculum in tertiary institutions to meet the economic and developmental needs of the country.
There have been several talks that eventually ended in deadlock between the Federal Government’s Needs Assessment Committee and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), as parties refused to agree on crucial issues.
However, reports have hinted that the recent sack of some ministers who include the Education Minster; is not unconnected to the mismanagement of the talks between the FG team and ASUU negotiators which dragged too long, as university students lounge at home wondering when it would be resolved.
