Seven aggrieved governors of the Peoples’ Democratic Party are expected to meet in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital today to brain storm over pertinent issues.

All the seven governors, who claim to be disenchanted with the running of the party at the national level, are expected to  attended the meeting scheduled to hold at the Sokoto State governor’s lodge.

Host governor, Aliyu Wamakko, Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Rivers State’s Rotimi Amaechi,  Aliyu Babangida of Niger State, Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatai Ahmed,  Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State and Rabiu Kwankwanso of Kano State are all expected at the meeting.

Sources close to the governors say that a major agenda of the meeting could be the refusal by INEC to grant the splinter group recognition following the ruling of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, which declined the request of the faction for recognition.
