The chairman of the Port Harcourt Local Government Area in Rivers State, Honourable Charles Paul Ejeku, has died.

Eyewitness accounts say that Mr Ejeku Suddenly slumped and died on Wednesday.

After a marathon political meeting which lasted into this morning.

The state government has confirmed the death and a Government House source says everyone is in mourning.

The cause of his death is yet to be announced.
