Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) striker, Junior Ajayi scored twice while Oghenekaro Etebo and Peter Onyekachi completed the rout just after Gabon got one back through Axel Meye at the Stade Augustin Monedan a Sibang, Gabon.

Ajayi netted for Samson Siasia’s team in the first minute of the match and Warri Wolves striker, Etebo, made it two-nil from 12 yards with two minutes to the break.

Two minutes into the second half, Ajayi struck again for his second of the match.

But Gabon gave themselves a lifeline when Axel Meye scored just mid-way into the second half.

Nigeria’s U23 restored their three-goal lead through Enyimba forward Peter Onyekachi at the 88th minute.

Siasia’s side would play host to their Gabonese counterparts at the National Stadium in Abuja on March 7.
