Governor yeroThe Kaduna State Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, has commissioned several roads and schools projects completed by his administration in Igabi and Kaduna South Local Government Areas of the State.

The projects commissioned by the Governor include, Rigachikun Township roads in Igabi LGA, Barnawa Central roads and Makera-Yam Market- Afaka roads all in Kaduna South LGA.

Governor Yero also commissioned a newly constructed Science Laboratory at the Government Junior Secondary School Makera, Examination Hall at Government Secondary School Jaji in Igabi LGA, a Science Laboratory in Government Junior Secondary School, Makera and blocks of classrooms at the LEA Ali Makama Primary School, Barnawa in Kaduna South LGA

At the commissioning ceremony, the Governor said that a total of 27 roads out of the 76 road projects being executed by his administration had been completed, while others were at advance stages of completion.

He explained that the present administration inherited 57 road projects initiated by previous administrations, while 19 additional ones were awarded in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

The Governor assured the state residents that he would not dump any project, stressing that it is economically wise to complete ongoing projects rather than abandon them.

The people of Rigachikun community welcomed the governor in appreciation of the completed road projects in the area.

At the commissioning of the Rigachikun Township roads, the Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to completing all ongoing road projects across the State.

Governor Yero also commissioned an Examination Hall at GSS Jaji, saying his administration has so far rehabilitated 187 schools across the State, employed 1,802 additional teachers and distributed free text books, science equipment and computers to public schools.

Governor Yero stated that the achievement had increased enrollment in public schools to 1,185,445 pupils and students at the basic and junior secondary education level in the State.

Some indigenes of the State applauded Governor Yero for the completion of the road projects and assured him of their unalloyed support in the forthcoming election.
