Voters in the areas of Abia State where the supplementary elections are holding came out for the accreditation exercise which started at about 1:21pm.

Channels Television visited some polling units in some of the affected Local Government Areas and the exercise has been going on smoothly.

“The process was peaceful at flash points like Ugwunagbo, Osisioma and Aba north Local Government Areas, despite the low turnout of voters,” a Channels Television’s correspondent monitoring elections in the state said.

Security personnel were strategically positioned to ensure peace and order in the State’s election.
