The Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, has been sworn into office for the second term on Friday, after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him winner of the Yobe governorship election held in April this year.

Having taken his oath of office, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam pledged to serve the people of the state faithfully and to the best of his ability.

Addressing dignitaries shortly after the exercise, he said that the occasion marked a new mandate for change and sustainable development.

The Yobe State Chief Judge, Justice Garba Musa Nabaruma, administered the oaths on the Governor and his Deputy, Abubakar Aliyu, at the August 27th Stadium in Damaturu.
