ObuaThe Advocacy for Societal Rights Advancement and Development Initiative, ASRADI, has demanded the release of the Chief Security Officer to former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

The ASRADI, in a statement on Sunday, said that it wants to alert the nation to “what seems like the incipient stage of the Buhari Administration’s regime of tyranny and autocracy” as exemplified by the continued incarceration of  former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan’s Chief Security Officer, Mr Gordon Obua.

‎”Obua has been detained since last Thursday at the headquarters of the State Security Services in Abuja without charge. Neither has he been told the reason for which he is being detained.

“Obua was asked to be reporting to SSS headquarters in Abuja and reported for one week before he was finally arrested and detained.

“He is being denied access to his family, lawyer and medication.

“Obua, who is said to be battling high blood pressure, may soon lose his life if he continues to be denied access to his medication.

“We hereby demand the unconditional release of Mr Obua,” ASRADI said.

The group also noted the alleged Gestapo style adopted by operatives of the State Security Service who invaded the residences of the erstwhile National Security Adviser in Abuja and Sokoto.
