Nigeria’s U-23 National Team coach, Samson Siasia, has invited four members of the FIFA U-17 World Cup winners to camp in preparation for November’s Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Senegal.
The invited players are captain of the team, Kelechi Nwakali, tournament’s top scorer, Victor Osimhen, and the two wing-backs, John Lazarus and Udochukwu Anumudu.
Siasia said he has been monitoring the progress of the players and was impressed with their performance in Chile.
The players have been given one week to rest before joining the rest of the squad in Gambia where the team will be putting finishing touches to the Olympic qualifier tournament.
