Boko Haram terrorists killed by militaryTroops of 25 Task Force Brigade have killed suspected Boko Haram leader and 12 members of the group terrorising communities around Sabon Gari and Damboa in Borno State, north-east Nigeria.

The troops are said to have conducted a fighting patrol along Damboa-Njaba-Bale road in Borno State where they took out three terrorists following a tip off.

According to a statement by military spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman, among those killed was the Boko Haram terrorists’ leader in Bulayaga.

The leader was notorious in terrorising Bale, Wass and Mufurundi villages, the statement read.

The troops recovered an AK-47 rifle with its magazine, 43 rounds of 7.62mm Special Ammunition, one Grinding Machine and five Dane Guns.

Other items recovered include seven Motorcycles, 21 bags of grains and two Boko Haram terrorists’ flags hoisted.

In a related development on Monday, troops of 7 Division Garrison on patrol at Mainari village in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State had an encounter with Boko Haram terrorists, which led to the death of nine terrorists and recovery of weapons. Some of the weapons recovered are four AK-47 and one Pump Action Gun

The military said the patrol teams had continued to dominate the respective areas.
