Abia Police Launch Strategies For Festive Season

PoliceNewly promoted officers in the Nigeria Police Force have been asked to be more dedicated and double their efforts in the discharge of their duties.

The Plateau State Police Commissioner, Adekunle Oladunjoye, gave the charge at the decoration ceremony of promoted officers in the state’s Police Command in Jos.

While addressing the newly promoted officers, Mr Oladunjoye commended the activities of the Police officers towards combating crime which he said had yielded positive results.

He attributed part of these successes to the collaboration with other security agents which has culminated in the apprehension of some criminals and relative peace enjoyed in the state.

Some of the promoted officers, DSP Aminu Daura and ATO Etim Okon, thanked the Police authorities and pledged to be more dedicated in the discharge of their duties.

The event, which took place at the Police Officers Mess in Jos, the Plateau State capital witnessed a large turnout of friends and family of the Police officers who came to witness the decoration ceremony.

Fourteen officers were promoted from the rank of Assistant Superintendent to Deputy Superintendent; 35 Inspectors were also elevated to the rank of Assistant Superintendent while 19 Senior Traffic Officers were promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Traffic.
