Olonisakin, Ibas Commission Navy Security Boats In Rivers

Nigeria’s Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ibas and Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin, have commissioned Navy security boats in Rivers State.

At the launching of 25 Epenal at NNS Pathfinder in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State on Wednesday, General Olonisakin said that Nigeria would continue to intensify its military operations to safe guard the country’s territorial integrity.

The Chief of Defence Staff noted that the nation is challenged by multi-faceted threats with grave manifestations, especially in the south-east and the maritime environment.

He warned that any one or group that threatens the peace of the country would have to deal with the full military might of the country.

On his part, the Chief of Naval Staff urged communities to work with the Navy to fish out those engaged in vandalising the nation’s pipeline facilities and other criminal activities.
