The 64-years-old observed that their performances might have been affected by the intense scrutiny the team had been under throughout the campaign.

United came under heavy criticism by their fans following last week’s stunning defeat by the Danish team in the first leg clash of the Europa League.

Midfielder Juan Mata also insisted that he was not influenced by the criticism, saying he understands the frustrations of the supporters.
