Kaduna Govt Compensates Zaria Bomb Blast Victims

The Kaduna state government has compensated victims of the bomb blast that occurred in Zaria on June 7, 2015.

The state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, presented a million Naira cheque each to 24 relatives of the deceased at the state Government House.

While commiserating with them on the loss of their beloved ones, Governor El Rufai assured them that the government, in collaboration with security agencies, will do everything possible to ensure that lives and property of the citizens are adequately protected.

On their part, relatives of the victims thanked the governor for the gesture.
They called on members of the Boko Haram sect to drop their arms and stop killing their fellow human beings.

25 people, mainly civil servants, were killed and many others injured on June 7, 2015 when a suspected female suicide bomber sneaked into the Sabon Gari Local Government secretariat in Zaria and detonated a bomb, where civil servants’ screening was taking place.

The management of UBA Metropolitan Life Insurance PLC facilitated the payment of the compensation.
